Kale & Broccoli sautéed with white wine and garlic
Cooler days are coming so it’s time to kick into detox mode and ripen your body with rich nutrients to help fight any nasty flu’s and bugs. This tasty dish is not only quick and easy but can be made as a meal or a side to accompany some protein. Make a big batch and reheat for lunch the next day.
Ingredients
3 stalks of kale
1 small broccoli head
2 cloves of garlic
3/4 cup of white wine
2 tbs olive oil
Salt & pepper
2 tbs sesame seeds
Method
Remove the thick end of the stalks from both the kale and the broccoli. Wash and then slice the broccoli and kale into pieces. On the stove heat the oil in a small pot, once warm add sliced garlic and cook until slightly brown. Pour wine into the pot and bring to a high temperature. Add your greens and stir to ensure all leaves are submerged. Season with salt and pepper and continue to stir on a low heat for 10 minutes. Drain the greens and garlic before serving in a bowl with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
Serves 4 as a side
